the soul is not immutable
its cycle is slow
eschelon of deep tones
stirring the substance
of eternity and it resounds
and it waits for our
entrainment--

our heads like transistor radios
scanning through the stations
some hone the spectacle and strengthen it
some hone the white noise and praise it

but the soul is what is always signified
the mythic symbols bring the soul
to rise and still have within us
