America, there is much we have to change and I am tired of pretending.
They think we're stupid and we are--we're so goddamn stupid and docile and content with our venti mochiattos and soap operas, how ever endearing and sentimental, that we don't see we're ruining everything. We're making a mess of the planet we're leasing and if we don't shape up the land lord will evict us.
But I'll be precise. America, how can we be so goddamn stupid? Why is gay marriage even a discussion? Why are people going to prison growing, distributing, and smoking marijuana? Do we know just about anything about drugs?
Then why are we still hung up on it?
Why do we always find a way for a person to somehow not exactly be like us? Why can't everybody be treated like everybody? We yawn at 9/11 realities but we get on the edge of our seats when someone important is fucking someone else. Well, listen, we're being fucked.
I'm tired of being cynical. I'm tired of cramped prisons filled with good people who just wanted to get fucking high. Listen, there's nothing wrong with getting fucking high and you do it all the goddamn time.
Religious people--if anything other than the word 'love' comes out of your mouth then I'll know you are fucking full of shit. Don't you dare unleash some diatribe of absurd ethics. We are more than capable of liking each other. Enough of this lusty profit margin power bullshit.
Get the person you hate the most to sit down and tell you just one personal experience and suddenly you realize that they are just like you. That muslim kid is just like you. That girl who decided to get an abortion is just like you. The homeless madman foaming at the mouth is just like you.
So please, start acting like it, or I am moving to Peru.
